The Falcon 50EX was French company Dassault’s improvement to the original Falcon 50. IT flies faster and higher than the original, with an increased range and modernized avionics including the Collins Pro Line 4. Its high performance and reliability made it a popular midsize jet, with 100 total manufactured between 1997 and 2007.
Another improvement to the EX model was the introduction of three new AlliedSignal TFE 731-40 engines, each with 3,704 pounds of thrust to help increase climb rate, extend range, and improve the jet’s fuel economy. A tri-engine jet is also more dependable than a twin-engine jet, with better one-engine-out speeds. In other words, if one engine were to fail, the jet could still perform fairly well.
With a range over 3,000 nautical miles, the Falcon 50EX is a great choice for both transcontinental and domestic flights. It could fly between San Francisco and New York without fueling.
Inside the sizable cabin, you can unwind in luxurious leather seats, each with access to folding work tables and cup holders. There’s ample legroom and stand-up room to keep you and your passengers comfortable. The seats can be arranged in several different ways, but the 9-seater arrangement of the Falcon 50EX features a 3-seat divan, perfect for lounging or napping.
A full-service mini galley provides ample room for refreshments. There’s also plenty of room for baggage thanks to the internal and external compartments totaling 115 cubic feet.
