The Eclipse 550’s Pratt & Whitney PW610F turbofan engines are compact and lightweight, keeping the performance of the jet high. The engine has a simplified design and features fewer parts than a conventional turbofan, which makes it easy and economical to maintain. The engine offers 900 pounds of take-off thrust for high, fuel-efficient power with low carbon emissions.
With a climb rate of 2,641 feet per minute, the Eclipse 550 can reach 35,000 feet in 22 minutes, allowing the plane to quickly avoid turbulence and inclement weather conditions.
The Eclipse 550 is designed to be flown by one pilot, with safety features that heighten awareness of weather, traffic, and other obstacles while in-flight. However, JetLevel always requires two pilots per flight for our customers’ safety.
The jet’s anti-skid brake system is a unique feature that makes a large difference. It offers maximum braking energy and skid control, and can stop an aircraft traveling at normal landing speeds in approximately 700 feet.
The Eclipse 550 can also perform in several inclement weather conditions. The pneumatic deicing boots remove ice from the wings to keep your flight safe through every leg of the journey.
