Austin–Bergstrom International Airport is an international airport located in Austin, Texas. It’s located 5 miles to the southeast of Austin’s downtown area and is designed to serve the entire Greater Austin metropolitan area. The name comes from a combination of the city of Austin and the Bergstrom Air Force Base that used to be on the site of the current airport.

This runway has a weight cap of 75,000 pounds for a single-wheel aircraft, 210,000 pounds for a double-wheel aircraft, 618,000 pounds for a double-tandem aircraft, and 913,000 pounds for dual double-tandem aircraft.

Runway 18R/36L

Runway 18L/36R is 9,000 feet long by 150 feet wide and can accommodate the same aircraft weights as the longer runway 18R/36L. This means that Austin-Bergstrom International Airport can handle a greater number of larger aircraft because larger jets aren’t limited to just one runway.

Helipads H1, H2, and H3

All three helipads, H1, H2, and H3, are 60 feet by 60 feet and are made of concrete with no surface treatment.
