Spirit of St. Louis Airport (KSUS)
Spirit of St. Louis Airport (KSUS) is a public airport located in Chesterfield, Missouri, just 17 miles west of St. Louis. The airport is owned by St. Louis County and is named after the famous Spirit of St. Louis aircraft. However, the airport is also commonly referred to as the Chesterfield Airport.
Special Amenities at Spirit of St. Louis Airport
Chesterfield Airport generally serves general aviation and cargo, so very few commercial flights utilize the airport. Hence, you can find some amenities that you wouldn’t find at larger commercial airports.
Landings at Spirit Golf Club
Chesterfield Airport has its very own golf club, Landings at Spirit. The club features an 18-hole championship golf course with links-style fairways and double greens. Lessons are available at the golf club, and you can also book a tee time online.
Air Show & STEM Expo
Spirit of St. Louis Airport hosts an annual Air Show and STEM Expo. The event features performers, static airplanes on display, and a STEM exhibition. Typically held over a weekend in July, the event is open to the public.
